BEFORE you click this box to download your free 21-day trial, be sure to read about Windows 7 (64-bit) installation requirements below! If you're not running Vista or Windows 7 64-bit, then simply click this box and 'Run' the setup file.
NOTE: In addition to the E-Z Child Support™ setup files, the following components will be downloaded and installed (so the computer on which you ultimately install the program must be connected to the internet):
  1. Microsoft® SQL Server 2005 Express Edition
  2. Crystal Reports® Basic Runtime for Visual Studio 2008

Download and installation time will vary based on internet connection speed.

 

Vista (64-bit) & Windows 7 (64-bit) Installation:

E-Z Child Support™ (EZCS) is fully compatible with all versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

However, users running the 64-bit versions of Windows MUST install the 64-bit version of one of the necessary components, available for download at no-cost from Microsoft Corporation, BEFORE attempting to install the EZCS application.

Microsoft SQL Server 2005: Express Edition
Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005 (64-bit version) must be installed prior to installing E-Z Child Support™ software.
The current E-Z Child Support™ setup package is configured to download Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005 32-bit; a 64-bit installer will be available in the near future.
 
Additional Installation Steps for 64-bit systems:
  1. Download and install the 64-bit version of Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005 by clicking the link below and following the installation instructions. Be sure to use the default settings on setup.

    VERY, VERY IMPORTANT: When you click on the link below, please DO NOT click 'RUN' when prompted. 'SAVE' it to your hard drive (preferably to your desktop temporarily so you'll find it easily). You may delete the setup file completely from     your desktop and system once the installation is complete.

    Then, be sure to right-click the executable file and choose 'Run As Administrator' or the data that you enter in the E-Z Child Support program after installation may not be saved correctly.
 

2. After installing SQL Server Express 2005 (64-bit version), click the link below, 'SAVE' the EZCS setup package to your desktop, right-click the file, and 'Run As Administrator'.

Installation Issues Can Be Fixed!
If you have downloaded our software and are having any installation problems--please let us know (support@ezchildsupport.com or 256.586.2805). We are eager to help you start using E-Z Child Support™ (EZCS) as soon as possible.
 
We currently utilize an online interactive remote assistance service, GoToAssist™ (which is as secure as internet banking), to instantly view and control our customers' computers for the fastest service.
 
Our Online Support Process: We create a unique online support session and e-mail an invitation link to that session to you. Upon clicking that link, you will be directed to download a bit of software and then are instantly connected to the support session. We then remotely view and control your computer--while you watch--to solve the problem just as if we were sitting at your desk.
 
Not only are we able to quickly diagnose and correct EZCS™ issues, but often we can correct your underlying Windows XP & Vista problems and are pleased to do so.  The Alabama legal community has been good to us, and we're happy to give something back when possible.
 
Most Common Problem: While most customers do not experience installation problems, the most common problem encountered relates to Microsoft® SQL Server Express. Our research has led to a solution, and the problem is easily fixed.
 
The problem occurs when SQL Server Express (Service Pack 2) has been previously installed on a computer prior to attempting to install EZCS™--or any other program that requires SQL Server. The latest update to SQL Server is in Service Pack 3, and it cannot be installed on top of the older version.
